Aeronamic and Logistiek Centrum Woensdrecht start collaboration for maintenance F-35

Thursday afternoon will host a festive event at the entrance gates of Woensdrecht Air Base. The commander of the Logistiek Centrum Woensdrecht (LCW), together with the CEO of Aeronamic, will reveal a new column with the name of the maintenance partner engraved in it. The mayor of Woensdrecht and the CEO of Aviolanda Aerospace shall also be present at the event.

In November 2016, Aeronamic was crowned as owner of the maintenance contract for compartments of the F-35. The specialist in aircraft technology will start a close partnership with the LCW for the preparation and execution of the aforementioned maintenance. This will partly commence on a to-be-developed location on Aviolanda’s terrain and partly on Woensdrecht Air Base.

Aeronamic carries out maintenance on the PTMS-system for at least all European F-35 fighter jets. PTMS is a system that monitors the energy management, such as starting up the engine, emergency energy supplies, cabin pressure and on-board cooling of the F-35 fighter jet.

The Woensdrecht depot will be finished and operative coming the first quarter of 2020. The inclusion of Aeronamic to carry out maintenance for F-35 parts is a result of a collaboration between the company and the Dutch Royal Airforce. Both parties managed a pedestal to create jobs and further employment opportunities in the region. A total of 50 new functions and jobs have been predicted at the Woensdrecht location.

In the coming period, both parties will again combine forces in order to reel in maintenance work for other components.
