Fokker Services, an Independent Aerospace Service Provider, reaches new milestone with the delivery and installation of its 250th Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) unit. With Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) available for EASA, FAA, ANAC (Brazil), and FATA (Russia), Fokker Services offers this modification to Airbus A320 Family, Boeing 737 and 757 operators across these regions.
Leon Kouters, Marketing & Sales Director at Fokker Services, said: “CPDLC has been one of our core modifications over the last few years. With the delivery and installation of our 250th CPDLC unit, we continue to bring our extensive experience to airlines around the world. Operators searching for ways to increase efficiencies and upgrade their fleet will benefit from our straight-forward and cost-effective solution.”
Fokker Services is the sole distributor of the advanced Spectralux avionics Dlink+ system for CPDLC. Mandated in European airspace in 2020, this highly reliable modification bridges the information gap between pilots and air traffic controllers. The ground-to-air data link provides a two-way text message communication channel between pilots and air traffic controllers, a crucial addition to the communication currently available in today’s busy skies. In addition to CPDLC, Fokker Services provides several other modifications for commercial aircraft including Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV), Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B Out), Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), and more.
