15 May Kick-off 3i project for unmanned aircraft

We are proud to announce the kick-off of the 3i project for unmanned aircraft. 3i is an acronym for Integrated Coastal Zone Management via Increased situational awareness throughInnovations on Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
The 3i project will work on improving the maritime safety of the Channel and the southern North Sea by using Unmanned Aircraft System. Hence twelve partners based in the UK, France and the Netherlands are working in close conjunction. The European cross-border cooperation programme Interreg 2 Seas has granted this project with € 1.85 million euro. Another € 1.85 million will be invested by the joint partners and the member states. We are more than happy to invite you to the official kick-off of the project on Thursday June 21, at 10.00 hrs, at the town hall of Woensdrecht in the Netherlands.
This kick-off meeting is particularly interesting for governmental, maritime, industrial, academic and educational organisations as well as the general public.

10.00 hrs Welcome
10.10 hrs Introduction of the 3i-project by several speakers, like:
- Challenges in port safety and integrated coastal zone management
- European Research & Development in unmanned aircraft systems
- Live demo’s of Unmanned Aircraft System
12.45 hrs Lunch with info market
13.45 hrs Parallel programs on different subjects, like:
- Dutch Innovation and Research program for SME
- Experiences and best practices in unmanned aircraft in the UK
- European Innovation and Research programs
- Unmanned Aircraft developments within the Dutch National Police
- Various films and demo materials on Unmanned Aircraft Systems
16.15 hrs Closure day program
16.30 hrs Reception and informal meeting
17.30 hrs Optional boat trip on the ‘Nieuwe Maze’ in Rotterdam Harbor and dinner

Since the number of seats on the boat trip are rather limited, we would appreciate if you could let us know if you are interested in this optional trip.
